Short Term Mission Trips

"Back in the day" OMers had to sell books, to get money, to eat. Sounds extreme? It is. We will be embarking on a challenge that makes your faith real, but we won't be selling books. Our goal is to serve the church and our God in three regions of France with over 500,000 inhabitants and only SEVEN evangelical churches. Sounds extreme? It is.

OM Arts International Training : Incarnate is for drama performers, dancers, musicians and visual artists – you will learn and practice an incarnational approach to ministering through the arts. This is a great opportunity for those people with a heart for Japan and a desire to use their God-given talents in literature distribution and creative ministry to the Japanese. It is also a wonderful time to meet many missionaries in Japan and to learn more about what God has been doing in Japan. The S.T.E.P (Short Term Exposure Program) is a unique opportunity for young people to serve God on board the ship.

Bringing gifts and the good news of Easter to the children.

Starting with our "Toolkit" course, you will learn the essential skills to be able to share the Gospel confidently, work on a multi-cultural team and develop in your prayer life and personal walk with God. An outdoor adventure week is part of the team building and leadership development training. Having learnt the basics, you will then join an international team working in close partnership with a church. You will impact adults, youth and children's lives through your outreach. As you reach out to the community, you will establish friendships and have many opportunities to share your faith in many different ways. You will carry on receiving training as you develop in your ministry

During the time you will receive training, which will equip you in basic Islamics and Christian doctrine. It is centered on the Muslim mindset and how to share the Gospel in a culturally sensitive way! It also includes International Team Life, in which you will have opportunities to cook, clean, pray and worship together! All teams will be living in CHURCHES, which means the accommodation won’t be five stars! OM is based on a ‘learn by doing’ process and you will get plenty of ‘street time’ to put into practice all you have learned. You could do anything from book-tables, to street work, to door-to-door, to video distribution, to the famous ‘Speakers Corner’ debate! You will find yourself doing things you never thought you could. Our first priority is to the church plants that we have in London; the Turkish/English church in North London, and the Arabic/English church in Central London. Our strategy and evangelism is based around these church plants, and is the reason for much of what we do.

You will be working with an international team alongside several churches and local ministries reaching out with the love of God and the message of the Gospel in and around Birmingham area.

For six months you will be a vital part of a small team whose united purpose is to make Christ known across Europe. Following from a time of training and team building in Birmingham UK, you will travel to European nations in a Transit van. Be prepared for long journeys together in a Transit van which will become a valued member of your team… In each country you will experience new cultures and form new relationships as you work alongside churches and OM teams. You will learn from and be challenged by this six month experience of team-life. Are you ready for a life changing experience?
